Thermo Systems in Utah is seeking an experienced Control Systems Project Engineer to lead and mentor on startup and commissioning of complex systems. You will read P&ID, wiring diagrams and design IT and control system solutions, with focus on HMI/PLC applications.

The role requires strong technical leadership, adherence to QMS, travel up to 50%, and collaboration with customers and team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, CS or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 10+ years total engineering experience.
• 3+ years as Control Systems Project Engineer II or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor coworkers during startup and commissioning.
• Read P&ID and wiring diagrams; feedback on field vs drawings.
• Expert with HMI and PLC applications.
• Maintain Quality Management System (QMS).
• Design complex control systems and IT infrastructure as it relates to controls.
• Prepare instrumentation specifications and cost‑effective solutions.
• Lead IT system design related to control system integration.
• Author complex design documents.
