Job summary

Thermo Systems seeks a seasoned Control Systems Project Engineer to drive complex control system projects from startup through commissioning. You will mentor junior engineers, read P&ID and wiring diagrams, and lead IT and network design related to the control system integration.

The role requires deep PLC/HMI expertise, strong customer communication, and a proven ability to deliver on schedule and budget. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with relevant experience.
• Typically 10+ years total experience.
• Proven track record: 3+ years as Control Systems Project Engineer II or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor co-workers during start-up and commissioning of systems.
• Interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams; provide field feedback.
• Design complex control systems and provide instrumentation specifications.
• Lead IT/system design related to control system integration and network infrastructure.
• Author complex design documents; improve cost-effectiveness through value engineering.
