Job summary
Thermo Systems in Sparks, NV is seeking a Controls Engineer III to lead design, integration, and delivery of automation projects in industrial environments. You will head tasks on small-to-mid sized projects and provide engineering expertise across design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure safe, reliable solutions that meet project requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, CS, or related technical discipline.
- Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration.
- Experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.
Responsibilities
- Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
- Perform FAT for automation systems.
- Interpret P&IDs and electrical diagrams and advise on field conditions.
- Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
- Review technical documentation for accuracy and quality.
- Deliver engineering tasks on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure project success.
