Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for an on-site role in Tempe, AZ (within 37 miles). The position supports a high-speed beverage facility with focus on automation, reliability, and throughput improvements.
The role leads troubleshooting, project work, and mentorship of technicians, with a 2-2-3 schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Base salary $100,000–$130,000 and a 20% target bonus, relocation assistance available.
Qualifications
- At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication across plant departments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Maintain backups, electrical drawings, and change records.
- Support commissioning, upgrades, and system integration projects.
