Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer III to support design, integration, and delivery of automation projects across industrial environments. You will lead tasks on small-to-mid-sized projects, applying engineering expertise across design, implementation, testing, and commissioning stages.

Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams is key as you ensure safe, reliable delivery aligned with project requirements and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Lead and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for automation systems.
• Interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics; review field conditions.
• Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and commissioning teams.
• Provide updates on progress, risks, and technical challenges to leadership.
