Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer III to drive the design, integration, and delivery of automation projects across industrial environments. You will lead tasks or small-to-mid-sized projects, providing engineering expertise across design, implementation, testing, and commissioning phases.

You will work with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure safe, reliable delivery aligned with requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Lead FATs for automation systems.
• Interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project team members.
