Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer III to support the design, integration, and delivery of automation projects across industrial and mission-critical environments. You will lead project tasks, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure safe, reliable delivery.

This role requires strong PLC programming, HMI development, and a solid understanding of P&ID interpretation, electrical schematics, and control system documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Perform FAT testing for automation systems.
• Interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics; provide field feedback.
• Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
