Thermo Systems LLC in East Windsor, NJ seeks a Lead Controls Engineer for energy and central utility systems. You will lead complex control system design across chillers, boilers, HRSGs, and balance-of-plant equipment, guiding projects from design through commissioning while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires 10+ years in controls engineering, senior-level experience, and strong leadership, with up to 50% travel and a PE license preferred.

Formación

• 10+ years of progressive controls engineering experience.
• 3+ years operating at a senior or Control Engineer III-equivalent level.
• PE license and/or relevant certifications preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead complex control system design, including architecture, I/O design, instrumentation, sequences of operation, PLC/HMI/SCADA integration, and engineering documentation.
• Provide technical leadership through design, FAT/SAT, startup, commissioning, and system troubleshooting.
• Review technical deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Serve as a technical authority on complex thermal, electrical, and balance-of-plant control systems.
• Lead engineering efforts across multiple projects and provide direction to other controls engineers.
• Collaborate with project managers to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and technical execution.
