Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks an exceptional Controls Design Engineer to join the DCGS Controls Design Engineering team. The role focuses on Building Management System and EPMS design standards across AWS data centers, driving cost reductions through standardization and collaboration.

You will own CPLs, BOD documents, and SOWs, working with cross-functional teams including construction, controls programmers, MEP/ACS engineers, and project managers to deliver world-class control systems.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in building operations and BMS/EPMS concepts.
• Experience with data center redundancy and SPOF analysis.
• Experience creating specs and Basis of Design standards.
• Ability to develop SOWs aligned with global design standards.
• Strong collaboration across internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BMS/EPMS standards and CPLs.
• Create SOWs with global design standards.
• Drive innovation to support team goals.
• Coordinate with regional PMs to finalize SOWs.
• Lead vendor selection and coordinate RFIs.
• Review vendor submittals for AWS standards.
• Operate in high-security environments and ensure safety.
• Travel up to 25% to manage projects.
