Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks an exceptional Controls Design Engineer to join the DCGS Controls Design Engineering team.

This role focuses on Building Management System and Electrical Power Monitoring System design standards across AWS’s data center portfolio, driving cost reductions, standardization, and global consistency. You will lead collaborations with internal and external teams, develop SOWs, CPLs, and BOD documents, and oversee vendor coordination while ensuring safety and

Qualifications

• 4+ years engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power, oil and gas).
• 4+ years engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience researching data center equipment designs and methods.
• Solid understanding of electrical diagrams and building operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data center controls standards and CPL/BOD documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
• Review vendor submittals and ensure AWS standards compliance.
• Travel globally ~25% to manage projects.
