Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an exceptional Controls Design Engineer to join our Data Center Global Services team. You will own BMS/EPMS specifications, CPLs, and Basis of Design documents, shaping controls standards across AWS's global data center portfolio.

In this role you will lead collaboration with construction, controls programmers, MEP engineers, and project managers, travel as needed, and drive cost reductions through standardization and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• 4+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits and industrial HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of BMS/EPMS controls standards for global projects.
• Create, maintain and disseminate SOW documents, specifications and engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with construction teams, controls programmers, MEP/ACS engineers and project managers to achieve goals.
• Ensure systems are deployed and commissioned to AWS standards and manage project information requests.
