Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks an exceptional Controls Design Engineer to join the DCGS Controls Design Engineering team.

You will lead BMS/EPMS design standards for AWS data centers and coordinate across the global portfolio, driving cost reductions and standardization. You will collaborate with internal/external stakeholders on new builds, retrofits, and data center support projects, ensuring compliance with standards while enabling scalable, reliable infrastructure and safety across

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers or similar facilities.
• 4+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep expertise in building operations, mechanical plant strategies, BMS/EPMS concepts, and control diagrams.
• Apply knowledge of data center redundancy, SPOF analysis, energy and water conservation, and data reporting analytics.
• Create, maintain, and disseminate specification documents and Basis of Design standards for global projects.
• Develop and maintain project-specific SOW documents incorporating global design standards.
• Drive innovation of new solutions to support team initiatives and company goals.
• Collaborate with construction teams, controls programmers, MEP/ACS engineers, and project managers to accomplish goals.
