Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an exceptional Controls Design Engineer to join our Data Center Global Services team. You will focus on Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) design standards and coordinate across AWS's global data center portfolio.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities, including data centers.
• 4+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, and industrial HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BMS/EPMS design standards and CPLs.
• Coordinate Scope of Work documents and Basis of Design standards for global projects.
• Lead collaboration with construction teams, controls programmers, MEP/ACS engineers, Design Engineering, CRE, and project managers.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to manage projects (circa 25%).
• Review vendor bid packages and make selection recommendations.
