Clever Benefits is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across our portfolio. This remote role reports to the CFO, managing a small team and coordinating with external accountants and banks.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in multi-entity accounting, GAAP reporting, and process improvement, with a track record of building scalable finance functions in a fast-growing environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing accounting operations within a multi-entity organization.
• Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff.
• Audit Experience.

Responsabilidades

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for the portfolio.
• Manage reconciliations, intercompany accounting, allocations, and reviews.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and GAAP-aligned.
• Establish accounting policies, documentation standards, and review procedures.
• Lead accounting structure, controls, and processes for new entities across the portfolio.
