Job summary

Performance Trust Capital Partners, LLC, headquartered in Chicago, seeks an experienced Controller to lead the close process, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple entities. You will partner with the Corporate Controller and FP&A to ensure accurate GAAP reporting and strong financial infrastructure.

The role requires 8–12+ years in accounting leadership within financial services, CPA and Series 27 preferred, and capability to mentor staff while driving process improvements

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA and Series 27 ideal.
• Experience within financial services required, including broker-dealer or similar regulated institution.
• Strong GAAP and internal-control knowledge.
• Ability to lead close processes across multiple entities or business lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accountability for timely, accurate results.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules; resolve reconciling items.
• Coordinate preparation and review of GAAP financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flows).
• Partner with FP&A on variance analysis and explanation of fluctuations.
• Assist external auditors during the annual audit and coordinate responses for assigned areas.
