Job summary

Performance Trust Capital Partners, LLC in Chicago seeks an Accountant to join our internal finance and accounting team. This role offers expanded ownership across the close process, financial reporting, and cross-functional finance initiatives within a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, a degree in accounting, and strong GAAP knowledge. CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred; ability to work independently is essential; hybrid schedule

Qualifications

• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to apply it to close processes and reporting.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage priorities.
• Experience communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations within close timelines.
• Prepare PBCs for audits and tax filings.
• Analyze and present financial data for FP&A decision-making.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies with limited oversight.
• Drive process improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Contribute to development of internal accounting policies and controls.
