Beacon Hill Staffing Group seeks a hands-on Controller to establish best practices and accelerate closing cycles. You will lead day-to-day accounting operations, improve workflows, and provide timely financial reporting to executives.

The role supports a private equity-backed portfolio with project-based operations, requiring strong technical accounting, process automation, and cross-functional collaboration to scale the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting functions.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with project accounting, job costing, or contract-based environments.
• Proven track record improving accounting processes and reducing close timelines.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
• Hands-on leadership style with willingness to dive into transaction-level details when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Reduce month-end close timelines while improving accuracy and accountability.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting workpapers.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activity.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, cash management, fixed assets, revenue recognition, and payroll support.
