Job summary

Entegris is seeking a Sr Control Systems Engineer in Bedford, MA to lead advanced automation across global sites. You will shape OT hardware, control networks, and cybersecurity, while advancing process technology and manufacturing standards.

You will gain exposure to Rockwell, Ignition, MES platforms, OPC-UA, AI/ML, and data analytics, supporting digital manufacturing initiatives and global site optimization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in industrial automation and controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing capital and automation projects including scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholders.
• Expert-level proficiency in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, and motion control.
• Experience with industrial protocols e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP.
• Willing to travel ~20% domestically and internationally for site evaluations and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Safety First culture with risk mitigation through equipment, automation, and process improvements.
• Lead and support projects to expand capacity, transition products to high-volume manufacturing, and implement NPI improvements.
• Engage cross-functional stakeholders to lead capital projects from justification through commissioning.
• Implement connected manufacturing solutions including IIoT, edge computing, historian systems, MES, AI/ML, and vision systems.
• Lead specifications, evaluation, and deployment of automation hardware/software aligned with cyber and manufacturing standards.
• Write, debug, and optimize PLC logic and HMI/SCADA interfaces; perform simulation and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with Controls, MES, ERP, and Business Systems to automate workflows and enable real-time decision making.
• Develop business cases, ROI analyses, roadmaps, and strategies for digital manufacturing objectives.
• Lead internal commissioning, validation, and acceptance testing; provide expert support for site automation teams.
• Standardize architecture and practices across sites; drive Industry 4.0 initiatives and OT security.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and maintain a central repository of global IACS standards and assets.
