Job summary
Entegris in Chaska, MN is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of manufacturing automation systems. You will architect and implement advanced control systems, supporting plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering to improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety across the site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 2+ years of automation and controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Logix).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Ignition, or similar).
- Knowledge of robotics systems (FANUC) and CAD tools (SolidWorks).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robotic control systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and production support.
- Develop and maintain control system architectures, electrical designs, and documentation.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotics platforms.
- Optimize system performance and reliability using data-driven analysis.
