Job summary
Entegris, Inc. in San Luis Obispo seeks a Senior Engineer, Systems and Control Engineering to architect and deploy advanced control systems for critical manufacturing and purification processes.
You will lead projects from concept through lifecycle support, leveraging digital technologies, simulation, and AI-ready automation to boost reliability and efficiency. Responsibilities include designing PLC/HMI/SCADA, integrating sensors and robotics, and enabling predictive maintenance with data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 7+ years in industrial automation, controls engineering or process automation.
- Strong PLC/SCADA experience and familiarity with industrial networks.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and deployment of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and edge computing solutions.
- Architect connected control systems for data collection, analytics, and AI decisions.
- Develop control system interfaces, process models, and simulations.
- Create electrical schematics, CAD layouts, and system documentation.
- Drive digital twin initiatives and AI-enabled maintenance strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers and technicians.
- Support field service, commissioning, and continuous improvement activities.
