Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Procurement Manager (TC) to lead a transactional procurement team responsible for requisitions and low-to-mid level purchases, leveraging non-RFP strategies and ensuring compliance. You will recruit, develop and appraise staff, manage key supplier relationships, and collaborate with Legal and Finance to meet savings, diversity, and value targets.

Telework available, with in-office duties at 333 West 34th Street.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in procurement or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in procurement with focus on commercial transactions.
• Experience with government procurement requirements and diversity spend targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team processing requisitions using non-RFP market strategies for goods/services.
• Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures in purchasing.
• Drive supplier performance reviews to ensure timely, issue-free delivery.
• Manage key supplier relationships and provide guidance on policy and contract issues.
• Collaborate with Legal regarding contracts, deposits, and litigation info.
