Job summary

Salas O’Brien, a leading engineering and professional services firm, seeks a Contract Review Specialist to join our Legal / Contracts Administration team immediately. This full-time role focuses on managing a high volume of commercial contracts including engineering, architectural, professional services, and related vendor and client agreements, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of contract review/administration/management experience.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience with engineering, architectural, consulting, professional services, construction-related agreements.
• Strong contract drafting and interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and process a high volume of commercial contracts and related documents.
• Draft, revise, and negotiate contract terms, amendments, renewals, work orders, and related agreements.
• Identify contractual risks and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate contract reviews with business stakeholders and ensure timely turnaround.
• Develop and maintain a centralized contract management system (tracking, reporting, document retention).
• Maintain contract templates, standard clauses, and negotiation playbooks.
• Track contract obligations, milestones, expirations, renewals, and insurance requirements.
• Support procurement, project management, and business teams throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Maintain organized contract records and provide reporting on status and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
