Job summary

GHX is seeking a Contract Sr. Project Manager to oversee cross-functional, large-scale software implementation projects within healthcare, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.

You will shape priorities, track schedules, drive issue resolution, and coordinate with stakeholders across client and internal teams. Requires 8+ years in project leadership, strong PM methodologies including SDLC/Agile, and experience managing complex customer relationships in healthcare IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in project leadership roles.
• 5+ years in software development, implementation or integration projects with lifecycle knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of PM methods including SDLC and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience managing complex customer relationships on multi-threaded clinical projects with 8+ members.
• Excellent facilitation, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented yet self-directed with a passion for learning new technology.
• Strong analytical/qualitative reasoning to diagnose performance problems and take corrective actions.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• ERP/MMIS experience required (or equivalent).
• Healthcare IT or operational leadership experience.
• Experience with HL7, FHIR integration technologies.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely, accurate delivery of project artifacts across multiple projects.
• Primary point of contact with key customers for implementation of GHX core products.
• Leads kickoff sessions, gathers requirements, and educates stakeholders on products and services.
• Builds detailed project plans and schedules; manages day-to-day operations of large projects.
• Directs project personnel to maintain schedule; identifies milestones at risk and analyzes resource use.
• Maintains a program-level risk/issue log; facilitates mitigation and escalation.
• Conducts stakeholder meetings to progress projects per charter and guidelines.
• Provides updates to senior leadership on project status and escalation as needed.
• Provides leadership and mentoring to project teams; enforces accountability and transparent reporting.
• Advocates best practices, tools, and methodologies for planning, execution, and metrics.
• Maintains product knowledge to improve delivery efficiency.
• Initiates change management and contract modification reviews.
• Participates in vaccination programs as required by healthcare credentialing guidelines.
