Veeco Instruments Inc. in California seeks a Senior Program Manager for Contract Manufacturing Operations to lead a high-complexity transfer to Asia-based contract manufacturers, coordinating planning, quality, and production readiness.

The role requires 8+ years in semiconductor equipment programs, cross-functional leadership, and global travel (25–50%). After the transfer, you may move into broader Manufacturing or Supply Chain roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience leading engineering, manufacturing, or product-transfer programs for semiconductor equipment or similar capital gear.
• Experience directing cross-functional teams, external suppliers, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience with new product introduction or product-transfer through manufacturing readiness and ramp.
• Ability to travel globally 25%–50% during the rotational period.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end transfer of Advanced Packaging Lithography and Laser Annealing products to contract manufacturers in Asia, delivering production readiness.
• Build and maintain the integrated program plan, critical path, risk log, and mitigation actions.
• Lead cross-functional execution across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and supplier teams.
• Direct supplier training and production-readiness reviews worldwide, turning build results into closure plans.
• Provide executive-level reporting on schedule, status, cost, and risks with clear decisions and recovery actions.
• Drive operational-excellence and cost-reduction initiatives to improve manufacturability and throughput.
• Establish governance and escalation paths to sustain volume production after transfer completion.
