Veeco Instruments Inc. in San Jose is seeking an Engineering Program Manager II to coordinate technical projects across mechanical, electrical, optical, software, and other teams within the Advanced Packaging product line.

You will translate objectives into executable plans, track progress, and support product release and readiness. The role sits in Veeco’s Product Development team, offering growth in cross‑functional leadership, risk management, and collaboration with suppliers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of technical project management experience in engineering, product development, high‑tech manufacturing, semiconductor, capital equipment, or similarly complex technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating cross‑functional engineering teams and delivering complex technical programs against schedule, scope, and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate defined technical projects and program workstreams of moderate scope, using established project management practices to translate objectives into schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Monitor progress against plans, maintain project documentation and action items, and work with cross‑functional partners to address routine execution issues and keep commitments on track.
• Exercise judgment within established processes to evaluate schedule, resource, and priority changes and recommend appropriate actions or escalation.
• Coordinate activities across mechanical, electrical, optical, software, technician, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service teams to support product development and release objectives.
