Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer IV to establish manufacturing processes and sequences from assembly to shipment. You will work with hardware, Quality, Reliability, software, service, and manufacturing teams to drive readiness and scalable build/test strategies.

The role emphasizes leading complex manufacturing challenges, making data-driven decisions, and delivering repeatable, high-quality products at scale across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial) is required.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience with complex electromechanical products in manufacturing or NPI environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis in manufacturing.
• PFMEA, control plans, process validation, and risk management experience.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing readiness and scale-up for next-generation semiconductor platform.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly methods, test strategies, and production documentation.
• Support modular build/test strategies to improve quality and scalability.
• Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks during product commercialization and ramp.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve yield, throughput, and manufacturability.
