Job summary

Huron Consulting Group in the United States is seeking a Senior Consultant to optimize Epic PB, build and update regulatory components, and improve workflows to enhance patient care and efficiency.

You will work directly with client IT teams, analyze current processes, and implement improvements while providing hands-on support throughout engagements. A strong Epic PB background and independent work style are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Current Epic PB Certification is required.
• Strong hands-on Epic PB build, configuration, and optimization experience.
• Experience supporting regulatory build and system updates.
• Excellent critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to independently assess issues and drive work to completion.
• Highly self‑directed and comfortable with minimal oversight or 'hand holding'.

Our Senior Consultants come with a wide variety of experience leveraging their technical expertise to help our clients enhance their EHR platform to improve care delivery, patient outcomes and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Epic PB optimization and other project-based initiatives

Requirements

• Current Epic certification in Professional Billing (PB)
• Strong hands‑on Epic PB build, configuration, and optimization experience
• Experience supporting regulatory build and system updates
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to independently assess issues and drive work through completion
• Highly self‑directed and comfortable working with minimal oversight or "hand holding"
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing IT environment

Preferences

• Epic Charge Router certification and/or strong Charge Router experience
• Previous experience supporting complex Epic PB optimization initiatives
• Experience working within organizations undergoing IT operational transitions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Consulting experience supporting healthcare organizations through optimization or stabilization efforts

The estimated base hourly rate range for this job will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans, which include medical, dental and vision coverage, and other wellness programs. The rate range of information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
