Job summary

Huron Consulting Group Inc. is seeking a Hospital Billing Senior Consultant to help healthcare clients optimize Epic Hospital Billing workflows and configurations. You will perform hands-on build and testing, refine workqueues and billing edits, and assist with denials management and RMC optimization.

You'll deliver clear reporting with Reporting Workbench, Radar and SlicerDicer, and explore native Epic automation opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance for health systems nationwide.

Qualifications

• Epic Hospital Billing certification is required.
• Strong Epic HB generalist experience.
• Hands-on experience with Epic Hospital Billing configuration, build, and testing.
• Experience with HB workqueues, billing edits, and Revenue Cycle optimization.
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.

Huron’s Healthcare Transformation Services (HDTx) team works with healthcare organizations to solve their most complex EHR challenges, so we are constantly searching for skilled technical consultants to help our clients maximize their technology investments.

Our Senior Consultants come with a wide variety of experience leveraging their technical expertise to help our clients enhance their EHR platform to improve care delivery, patient outcomes and profitability.

As a Hospital Billing Senior Consultant, you will:

• Support Epic Hospital Billing workflow and system configuration optimization.
• Complete hands-on Epic build and testing.
• Optimize Hospital Billing workqueues (WQs) and billing edits.
• Support denials and Revenue Management Center (RMC) optimization.
• Reporting using Reporting Workbench, Radar, and SlicerDicer.
• Identify and implement opportunities to leverage Epic native automation capabilities within Hospital Billing.

Requirements

• Epic Hospital Billing certification required
• Strong Epic HB generalist experience.
• Hands-on experience with Epic Hospital Billing configuration, build, and testing.
• Experience with HB workqueues, billing edits, and Revenue Cycle optimization.
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic denials and RMC optimization.
• Experience with Reporting Workbench, Radar, and SlicerDicer.
• Experience implementing Epic native automation capabilities.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale Revenue Cycle optimization engagements.

The estimated base hourly rate for Epic Senior Consultants varies based on experience, project engagement and client expectations.

The actual rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.

This position is eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
