Huron is seeking an experienced Healthcare Technology Manager to serve as the Epic HB expert on client engagements. You will partner with stakeholders to assess workflow needs and translate business requirements into Epic HB specifications, supporting build, testing and deployment.

The role emphasizes delivering optimized Epic HB solutions, collaborating with client analysts, and communicating clearly with revenue cycle leadership and IT teams. Travel is required based on project needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Epic experience, preferably with Epic HB expertise in hospitals and healthcare systems.
• Current Epic Hospital Billing certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Epic HB subject matter expert on client engagements.
• Partner with operational and technical stakeholders to assess workflow needs and recommend Epic best‑practice solutions.
• Participate in client design sessions and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Support Epic HB optimization initiatives, including workflow design, build guidance, testing, and production deployment.
• Complete Epic build directly or collaborate with client analysts to ensure solutions are implemented effectively.
• Communicate clearly with both revenue cycle leadership and IT teams, tailoring messaging to each audience.
• Contribute to broader project delivery, team collaboration, and long‑term capability building within the practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Epic experience (preferably with strong Epic HB expertise) providing Epic consulting in hospitals and healthcare systems required.
• Current Epic Hospital Billing certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current permanent U.S. Work authorization is required.
• Experience with Epic implementations, optimizations, or revenue cycle transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of Epic HB workflows, revenue cycle operations, and technical build processes.
• Ability to recommend solutions and advise clients, not just execute assigned build.
• The ability to travel based on client, enterprise, or project needs is an essential function of this role.
• While travel requirements may vary based on business need, the current average travel in the Healthcare practice is less than 50%, annually.

The estimated base salary for this job is $130,000 - $150,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $156,000 - $180,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
