Job summary

Elevate seeks a Senior Consultant for Legal Strategy Operations & Legal Tech/ELM Advisory (Contract-to-Hire). This client-facing role blends consulting, business analysis, solution design, and execution to optimize legal operations and technology investments.

You will collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and tech partners to design future-state processes and drive transformation, with 30 hours/week for 3-4 months and potential conversion to full-time.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in legal operations strategy, legal technology consulting, or legal transformation.
• Experience working directly with corporate legal departments and law firms.
• Strong business analysis and requirements gathering capabilities.
• Experience documenting business processes and designing future-state workflows.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
• Experience supporting ELM or CLM implementations preferred.
• Familiarity with legal spend management programs preferred.
• Understanding of contracts lifecycle management processes preferred.
• Experience creating process maps, user stories, functional requirements, and SOPs preferred.
• Exposure to legal AI, workflow automation, and process optimization initiatives preferred.
• Legal Operations certification (CLOC, ACC Legal Operations, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Lead workstreams within larger consulting engagements.
• Create executive-ready presentations, recommendations, and client deliverables.
• Manage project activities, risks, action items, and stakeholder communications.
• Facilitate client meetings and present findings to legal leadership and executive stakeholders.

Elevate is recruiting a Senior Consultant, Legal Strategy Operations & Legal Tech/ELM Advisory (Contract-to-Hire) to join our growing Consulting practice.

This role blends consulting, business analysis, solution design, and project execution responsibilities. The ideal candidate possesses strong legal operations expertise, practical experience with legal technology platforms, and the ability to work directly with customers to define requirements, optimize processes, and guide transformation initiatives.

You will work closely with legal departments, procurement organizations, finance teams, compliance stakeholders, and technology partners to design future-state legal operations processes and help organizations maximize the value of their legal technology investments.

This is a highly client-facing role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

This is a Contract-to-Hire role, 30 hours a week, for 3-4 months with potential for full-time conversion.

Specifically, the Senior Consultant will

• Advise clients on legal operations best practices and industry standards.

• Serve as a functional SME for Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) solutions.
• Support legal technology assessment, selection, and optimization projects.
• Develop requirements and solution designs for legal operations technology implementations.
• Create process maps, business requirements documents, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with technical implementation teams responsible for system configuration and development.
• Validate proposed solutions against customer requirements and business objectives.
• Lead workstreams within larger consulting engagements.
• Create executive-ready presentations, recommendations, and client deliverables.

Experience

Compensation
