Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an experienced Underwriter for our Lare Construction casualty team. This role focuses on large accounts, wrap-ups, and joint venture projects nationwide, with responsibility for growing the Central region while maintaining a profitable book.

You will mentor and coach less experienced underwriters, provide guidance on complex technical issues, and contribute to strategic initiatives within the department and company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive underwriting experience preferred
• CPCU or professional designation preferred
• Ability to communicate complex analyses to stakeholders in writing and in person

Responsabilités

• Evaluate, price, and underwrite complex construction risks and secure approvals with brokers and agents
• Build and maintain strong agent/broker relationships and grow a long-term pipeline
• Manage a sizable, complex book with profitable growth, diversification, and market share
• Maintain thorough underwriting files with compliant decision processes
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior underwriters and analysts
• Participate in strategic projects to improve processes, tools, and service quality
