Job summary

You will apply deep technical judgment, analyze exposures, and set coverage terms, while partnering with senior leaders to deliver disciplined solutions that protect the portfolio.

This role emphasizes portfolio management, market relationships, and the mentorship of other underwriters to strengthen Liberty

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive underwriting experience.
• CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
• Proven analytical ability to evaluate underwriting risks.
• Strong written and oral communication with stakeholders.
• Proven track record of profitable underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage construction-focused business across builders risk, installation, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Build profitable broker and client relationships and expand opportunities.
• Analyze complex exposures and explain coverage differences and valuation considerations.
• Monitor portfolio performance, rate adequacy, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with underwriting support, claims, risk engineering, product, and legal teams.
• Drive underwriting excellence and develop processes/tools for consistency.
• Mentor and train underwriters on risk assessment and pricing.
