Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Memphis, TN seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead and coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety, schedule delivery, and manage quality and budget on the project.

You will supervise Assistant Superintendents and field staff, develop schedules, communicate with owners and architects, oversee billing and progress, and enforce Turner safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience training and/or experience.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EH&S applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and make decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.
• Oversee work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operations and resolve local area problems.
• Manage the overall site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns as assigned, including input on performance.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing of work; develop recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers regarding field issues and resolutions.
• Manage billing related to Work In Place (WIP) and oversee monthly estimates, payrolls, invoices and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work installed complies with contract documents.
