Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead complex DMV-region construction projects from mobilization to closeout. The role requires strong leadership, safety oversight, and proactive coordination with the Project Manager and field teams.

The position offers a competitive compensation package with base salary and bonus potential, plus comprehensive benefits. Local/regional travel within the DMV region is expected as part of project oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction superintendent experience, preferably on projects $20M+.
• Demonstrated leadership of field operations for commercial, public sector, education, or similarly complex projects.
• Proven track record in safety, quality, schedule performance, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site construction operations from mobilization through project closeout.
• Enforce safety policies and applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, material deliveries, inspections, equipment, and site logistics.
• Partner with Project Manager to establish goals, staffing plans, and execution strategies.
• Develop, review, and maintain project schedules in coordination with the project team.
• Monitor short-term schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractor performance.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and contract documents for constructability.
• Ensure subcontractors work from current drawings and information.
• Maintain project quality control program.
