Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for complex commercial, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and clean room projects from start to finish.

You will drive schedules, manage subcontractors, enforce safety standards, and ensure high-quality outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships. Experience with Procore, MS Project, and related tools is required for this hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial projects.
• Experience leading clean room, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, manufacturing, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and best practices.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Experience managing subcontractors, field teams, and multiple trades simultaneously."
• Hands-on experience with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Strong scheduling skills with the ability to drive critical project milestones.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations from project kickoff through final completion and turnover.
• Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules while coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Conduct daily site planning meetings and proactively resolve field challenges before they impact project timelines.
• Oversee quality control processes, site inspections, and punch list completion.
• Enforce OSHA standards, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site compliance initiatives.
• Review and coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field documentation.
• Monitor project budgets and support cost control efforts alongside project management teams.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and project records.
• Act as the primary field contact for clients, project managers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate ground-up construction, renovations, tenant improvements, office fit-outs, and highly technical clean room environments.
• Ensure successful project closeout, turnover, and client satisfaction.
