Located: San Jose, CA
We are a General Contractor with a Project portfolio that includes large scale data center builds ranging from roughly 2 MW to 15 MW and up to $80M in project value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead large, complex construction projects from planning through closeout.
- Manage master schedules, subcontractor schedules, pull planning, procurement, and daily field operations.
- Oversee CSA and MEP scopes across data center base-build and fit-out projects, including Busway, RPPs, liquid cooling, and HAC/CAC systems.
- Lead site safety, QA/QC, daily reporting, inspections, and punch-list activities.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes to ensure quality installation and execution.
- Lead and mentor Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Engineers.
- Partner with Project Managers and Engineers on budgets, billing, procurement, scheduling, and project closeout.
- Serve as the primary field contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat and new business.
- Lead RFP responses, project interviews, presentations, and business development efforts.
- Anticipate project risks, resolve issues proactively, and keep teams accountable for safety, schedule, quality, and budget.
- Foster a positive, collaborative culture and lead by example through strong communication, humility, accountability, and leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of construction experience.
- Journeyman background or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven ability to independently lead large-scale projects.
- Extensive data center and base-build construction experience is nice to have.
- Experience on: electrical, network, cooling, containment, and low-voltage systems (Busway, RPPs, Liquid Cool, HAC/CAC, etc.) is nice to have.
- Strong understanding of both CSA and MEP construction.
- Excellent knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, procurement, QA/QC, and safety.
- Strong client-facing, presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
