Job summary

Willmeng Construction is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations on our projects in Albuquerque, NM. You will coordinate daily activities, manage schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and on‑time delivery while controlling budgets and coordinating with owners, design teams and municipalities.

The role requires a strong background in commercial construction, reading and interpreting drawings and specs, familiarity with codes and OSHA, and proven scheduling proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in the commercial and trade construction industry.
• Technical and skilled knowledge in a wide range of commercial construction markets.
• Proven experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in construction scheduling and project management software.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations, forecasting next steps and maintaining jobsite readiness.
• Monitor and track activities to ensure smooth progress.
• Create and manage schedules, including the 3-week look ahead and phasing planning.
• Hold meetings with subcontractors (weekly, daily huddles, last planner sessions).
• Participate in OAC meetings with owners, design teams and municipalities.
• Manage project budgets to protect profits and identify gain opportunities.
• Facilitate coordination among trades, owners, architects and GC teams.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations of a team and delegate responsibilities.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Generate and manage RFIs as needed.
• Collaborate with inspectors for approvals and issue resolution.
• Perform skilled workmanship when applicable.
