Job summary

McGough seeks a Senior Construction Scheduler in West Texas to develop and maintain project schedules for commercial construction. The role requires leading planning efforts, coordinating with Project Managers, and overseeing weekly progress reviews with subcontractors.

You will manage baselines, resource loading, and risk analysis using Primavera P6 and Last Planner techniques, ensuring on-time project delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or 8 years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years of construction & scheduling experience
• Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project delivery methods.
• Demonstrated experience with cost and resource loaded schedules and claims avoidance techniques
• Competence in Primavera P6
• With a Bachelor's Degree must have 24 months of experience or without a Bachelor's Degree must have 6 years of experience with scheduling and related tasks

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement Planning & Scheduling best practices.
• Lead planning efforts with Project Manager and Schedule Department; develop WBS, durations, sequencing.
• Analyze drawings, specs, and documents for usable Baseline schedules.
• Monitor schedules and provide guidance to Operations staff.
• Interact with Owners, subcontractors, and their reps.
• Develop conceptual bid and proposal schedules with Operations staff.
• Use analytics to identify project trends and support risk mitigation.
• Cost and manpower load schedules for project execution.
• Prepare schedule reporting including EVA analysis and cost-schedule integration.
• Evaluate actual construction status relative to plan.
• Analyze impact of schedule changes and mitigate delays.
• Prepare Time Impact Analyses per accepted standards.
• Develop 'what-if' scenarios for alternate sequencing.
• Develop detailed schedules using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate with teams to define scope and update schedules.
• Coordinate with submittals, design, and permitting progress.
• Collect weekly work plans from subcontractors and update.
• Attend weekly subcontractor meetings on various projects.
• Identify and track project constraints and progress.
