Job summary

McGough Construction CO, LLC is seeking a Senior Construction Scheduler to develop and maintain schedules for commercial projects using Primavera P6 and Last Planner. You will attend weekly meetings, review subcontractor plans and update project tracking tools.

You will lead pull planning, create detailed work plans for milestones, and collaborate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery while managing risks and resource loading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or 8 years of relevant experience may substitute.
• 10+ years of construction & scheduling experience.
• Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project delivery methods.
• Experience with cost and resource loaded schedules and claims avoidance/resolution.
• Competence in Primavera P6.
• If degree held, 24 months experience or non-degree 6 years in scheduling with Primavera P6.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, 15+ years experience, federal project experience, EVM awareness, OSHA 10/30.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement Planning & Scheduling best practices.
• Lead planning efforts with Project Manager and Schedule Department.
• Develop WBS, durations, and sequencing with hard/soft constraints.
• Analyze drawings and specs for usable Baseline schedules.
• Monitor schedules and advise Operations on updates.
• Represent McGough with owners, subcontractors, and reps.
• Support conceptual bid schedules and present to committees if required.
• Use analytics to identify project trends and mitigate risk.
• Cost and manpower load schedules for project execution.
• Prepare EVA reports and integrate cost/schedule data.
• Evaluate actual progress vs proposed plans.
• Analyze changes and communicate impacts on schedule.
• Develop Time Impact Analyses per industry standards.
• Assist teams with 'what-if' scenario planning.
• Develop detailed schedules in Primavera P6.
• Define scope with project teams to update detailed schedules.
• Coordinate with submittals, design, permitting progress.
• Gather weekly work plans from subcontractors and update weekly plans.
• Participate in weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Identify and track project constraints.
• Evaluate schedule progress and identify problem areas.
• Analyze critical path and propose workarounds.
• Participate in Lean events and McGough initiatives.
• Handle special projects and other duties as needed.
