Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety lead for a single Shelton, CT project. You will enforce company EH&S programs, train teams, and guide management on environmental and hazardous materials reporting and compliance.

You will lead training, drive safety improvements, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local requirements while coordinating with project leadership for risk mitigation and incident reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed; First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED current.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project and enforce safety staffing per HQ policy.
• Provide safety leadership and allocate time/resources for the project.
• Assess safety practices, identify exposures, and implement action plans to mitigate risks.
