Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Boston is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Lead to manage site safety for a single construction project. You will enforce EH&S programs, lead training, and drive risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, CHST certification (or within 2 years of appointment), OSHA 30-hour training, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum 4 years of construction safety experience
• CHST certification or within 2 years of appointment
• OSHA 30-hour training completed; First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED current
• Knowledge of federal, state and local EH&S regulations
• Ability to identify exposures and lead corrective actions
• Leadership, teamwork and strong communication skills
• Travel required with reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy
• Manage safety staffing, time, and resources on site
• Assess safety practices and implement risk mitigation plans
• Develop and deliver site-specific safety training
• Promote safe work practices and adhere to regulations
• Collaborate with leadership to produce safety reports and metrics
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance
• Conduct safety audits and enforce corrective actions
• Plan preconstruction safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Ensure documentation of training and safety records
