Job summary

Kokosing Construction is seeking a seasoned Safety and Health leader to drive the company's Safety and Health Management System across locations. You will coach safety staff, align with operations managers, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include leading audits, investigations, data analysis, and safety training programs, with a focus on reducing injuries and incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety and health or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
• 9+ years of experience with safety and health in the construction industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
• Ability to manage one or more project/facility locations and lead safety programs.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the Company Safety and Health Program at assigned location(s).
• Ensure regulatory compliance as outlined in the Safety and Health Management System.
• Champion the Safety 24/7 behavioral program.
• Lead safety staff and support operations managers to improve safety performance.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and safety conversations; coach staff on actions.
• Investigate injuries, illnesses, and incidents; analyze data and code incidents in the data system.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Propose and support process improvements based on safety performance data.
