Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety leader to oversee a single construction project. You will enforce EH&S programs, train project teams on safe work practices, and guide management of environmental and hazardous materials reports and conditions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field, plus 4+ years of construction safety experience.
CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
Completed OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations; strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead EH&S on a single construction project and enforce policies.
Train teams on safe work practices and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement action plans to mitigate safety risks.
Review subcontractor safety programs and Pre-Task Plans.
Collaborate with project leadership to produce safety reports and improve metrics.
