Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the project quality control program on large, multi-phase projects including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC requirements. You will supervise field inspectors, develop the QC plan, and ensure every test result and nonconformance is thoroughly documented.

The role requires coordinating with owners’ QA representatives, managing NCRs, and driving corrective actions.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction QC or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and communicates under challenging project conditions.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review inspector reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
