Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC requirements. You will lead the QC plan, phase meetings, and supervise inspectors on active sites.

You will coordinate lab testing, approvals, and certifications while ensuring test results and NCRs are documented and presented to owners and contractors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection; 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate, ICC special inspector or NICET Level III.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Strong written communication and ability to assert positions in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and obtain owner acceptance.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for features of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review inspector reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
