Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You will write the project quality control plan and run three-phase control meetings with the owner's QA representative.

The role requires 6+ years in QC, 2+ years supervising inspectors, and certifications (USACE CQM-C, ICC NICET Level III).

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
assign daily coverage and review their reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
