Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements. The role requires coordinating field inspectors and technicians, writing the project QC plan, and leading the three-phase control meetings.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
