Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects under USACE, NAVFAC, or related quality requirements. You will write the project QC plan, lead three-phase control meetings, and own the data and documentation for every test result and NCR.

You will manage field inspectors and technicians, coordinate with owners and subcontractors, and travel to active jobsites as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction QC or special inspection, incl. 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
