Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements. You will lead field inspectors and technicians, write the QC plan, and interface with the owner's QA representative.

Your role includes managing meetings, approving nonconformances, and ensuring corrective actions are closed with proper documentation.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate; ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line in discussions with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
