Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements. You will supervise field inspectors and technicians, write the project QC plan, and present test results and NCRs to owners.

Your week includes coordinating meetings, reviewing reports, managing nonconformances, and ensuring tests and certifications meet contract

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection
• 2+ years supervising inspectors
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs
• Writes clearly under pressure in front of superintendents and owner representatives

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians
• assign daily coverage and review their reports
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors
